Glass Roofed Entrance Porch

Mr Peet | Charlbury, Oxfordshire

The brief was to create an oak-framed, private, front-entry porch, with a closed-end design. The client took great pleasure in seeing the design come together, and was delighted with the cohesion between the porch and the house's existing double-height glazed front section.

Material selection and features:

  • Oak frame including arched braces and pegs
  • Glass roof to allow ample natural light in the entrance hall
  • Integration of modern elements, such as stainless-steel fixings, discreetly hidden behind oak capping and avoiding other framing materials.

The porch now stands as a functional, well-lit, and aesthetically pleasing addition to the client's home, embodying the perfect balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern design needs.

Thanks again for such a nice job - very pleased!
